Anybody have any idea where I can find recordings of Pocomania drumming at all?

I highly suggest you go to Jamaica and record this for yourself. There are some hard to find CDs of drumming by some of those types of groups in Jamaica but I have never seen any specific pocomania ones.

      Blessings, Leighton.

Funny... this is pretty much what another JA-familiar friend of mine told me as well.

One more reason to visit Jamdown sooner than later!

look for the old Folkways recordings from the 50s(?), a lot of this kind of stuff was taped by field anthropologists

also, Eddie Seaga recorded a lot of this kind of stuff during his days as an anthropologist, i believe some of it has been released.
